This well-written story of a true tragic event is almost too much to comprehend. It is two stories entwined, with the Holocaust story being the more gripping, emotionally wrenching story. The modern story of the journalist pales in comparison and seems contrived; hence, I only gave the book the four stars. But the story of Sarah, whose whole young world was so senselessly destroyed by her own compatriots, is incredibly compelling. Some of the scenes of the novel will stay with me for a long time. I advise you to read this book only when you can give it your full attention and are prepared for an emotional journey.Get more detail about Sarah's Key.
