The way the book reads is subtly clever and very engrossing: while written in the third person it *feels* like it is written from Alice's perspective. As her disease progresses, the structure of the book changes and parallels the mental state of Alice...it's very clever and done flawlessly. The book became engrossing very quickly, and all the realities that existed for the characters, things that exist between the lines of text, unspoken but nevertheless obvious to the average reader, tug out tears and profound acknowlegement for the disease. A good book.Get more detail about Still Alice.
