I'm slowly becoming a fan of Nicholas Sparks since reading "A Bend In The Road". I know, I read them out of order, and didn't realize that "True Believer" was a prequel to "At First Sight."
Anyway, I enjoyed the book, thought it was an easy read...but did NOT like the ending. Many readers say the ending is predictable, but I sure didn't see it coming! Even after re-reading the prologue after I finished the book, I didn't see it foreshadowing the foreboding ending.
I agree that much of Sparks' writing is fluff aimed at women, and there were times when it seemed Jeremy and Lexie were horribly mismatched...yet he would say he loves her "more than life." Really? I didn't get that vibe.
"At First Sight" is an ok book - not his best...but even after the sad sad ending, the epilogue made me smile. The last line of the book (epilogue) ties it all together.Get more detail about At First Sight.
